I believe the Seneschal would benefit marvelously from something which would provide some small source of distraction. Nothing too complicated or consuming mind you, but perhaps a little game or something like it. Something he might pick up and put down easily - one of those little puzzles which are good for living on a desk or in a drawer. You know the sort of thing.
But I'm certain whatever Bastien suggested would also be quite nice. Only you must promise not to get him a cushion for his chair! I've stolen the rights to that one already.
No, no. --I mean, that's very kind. But what I meant is that I've claimed giving him a cushion for Satinalia. It's half embroidered and everything. Not that there is anything wrong with two cushions, of course. Just that it might make them both slightly less significant.

The Seneschal can usually be trusted to be one of the first people down in the hall for breakfasts and suppers. Lunch is hit and miss; if is is involved in a project, he will sometimes neglect the hour. So either very early in the morning, or late in the evening. If you like, I might run interference for you. Check in, you see, to be certain he isn't there when you intend to drop it off. And if he is, then I can always beg him to accompany me on some important task that threatens to be disastrous without his supervision.
